Been a minute. Been cruising the northwest this last week. Internet capability has been limited by shady hotel rooms and international limitations. Needless to say they have free wifi at Sea-Tac and I'm exploiting it for all it's glory before i drown myself in a pint.

My Boy Flip has been putting on the Gypsy Camp for a few months now and it's grown ten fold. so much so that the city is now requiring him to get permits to run it. It's always been a free event so to keep it going he is throwing a fundraiser this thursday.

So I suck at drawing things realistically. I always said "fuck it. if i wanna draw realistically i'll take a photo." well i'm older and although not much more mature I've decided fuck it I wanna learn to draw right. Good thing I've got Evie Apple To help me save myself from fuck it hell...

we both drew the cover to Preacher. Mine came out looking like Charlize Theron in Monster.

next was eye shape and shadowing. my pencil control is atrocious. i'm hoping that some of what i'm learning will translate in to my painting...

after a few more exercises over a couple hours i was getting irritated so we switched up and i showed her how to draw cartoony.

going to this tonight. An old friend Meg Littler is showing some of her stuff.

seeing as I could never get her to show her stuff with my shows it's the first time i'm really gonna see her work in person.

According to Haro this place it's being held at has an affinity for Sleepy Time Gorilla Museum and people will be dressed up and such. Being the rebel I am, I feel t-shirt and jeans will be more than appropriate. I may wear a bunky mask just to scare people however.

so if youre bored or want to say whats up, come check it out! There's also a Painted apples thing going on tonight, but it's not really a painted apples thing. it's like some dj/graf crew and apples have a booth and a whole lot of confusing, doesn't make sense, over it type of shinanagins.

seeing as i have a favorable view of anything i create that i can measure in nano-seconds i'm thinking of a redesign to this blog. seeing as i can't even find time to update it on a regular basis however, i doubt anything will come to fruition within the next decade.

been lazy on working on piece for Art for Arts Sake show in October. it's coming along. i just thought maybe quicker than it's actually coming along. doesn't help the new batman game came out so i had to ofcourse play that until i beat it.

I've always been a bat-nut. thought about busting out some fan art or something. i dunno. again need to finish the projects i've already committed to.

Got hit up to do an art show at the ~~Verity~~ Guitar Merchant in September but haven't gotten any other details as of yet. I'll post info once i get it from the booking lady.

If this works out, Hydra and I might throw another show in that room. Finally our sequel to the tree show. we've already got people ready to drop what they are doing on a dime to put in on a show hosted by us we just need to confirm the dates.

Haven't done much painting in the last week or so. And by much I mean I've done no painting. Got some FYI on a show I'm doing with Tony from Tones Project, Odessa, Fly Pig, Your moms other boyfriend, etc... and plan on a couple new pieces, yet I can't get my shit together.

In any case since I'm already procrastinating Hydra, Craka, Mags (my official photographer), Cleen, Nat, and Jessalyn all went out to the Atmosphere show last night at the Palladium. All I gotta say is that is one to remember! Eyedea and Abilities opened for them and even though I'm not too keen on their new stuff Eyedea can still flow a might good line. And Abilities... well guitar solo on turntables... yeah... Nuff said.

Atmosphere killed it though. They played a ton of old material. And even though they didn't do Pour Me Another which Mags and I were begging for, they did bust out Blamegame, Saves the Day, and a ton of stuff off the Sad Clown E.P.'s. I wish my camera held out for the whole show but unfortunatly it died while I was trying to record Guns & Cigarettes.

So I can't believe I've been going along for this long and paying full price for Cat Fancy when I could have been only paying $35 for 2 years!

As for a real update I am super stoked that July is finally fucking over. Between all the art, the "real" job, and about 17593872 other things I need a vacation 2 weeks ago.

No rest for the wicked I'm afraid. Expect a shitload of stuff coming through for August. Maybe some shows, maybe a some live paintings. You know, things I do.

On another note, Hydra and his lady are moving out of their house so he dropped off our old collab so he wouldn't have to throw it in storage.
